AB - This research aims at investigating the effect of using (think, write, pair, and share) strategy in teaching chemistry on improving chemical equations understanding and development of motivation to accomplish the duties in classroom among tenth grade students in Jordan. The study was applied on (70) students from Firas Alajloni School at Amman governorate, distributed randomly into two groups, the experimental group which consisted of (34) students, and control group which consisted of (36) students. The research used the qusi experimental design. To achieve the purposes of the study, a test consisted of (20) items was used to measure chemical equations understanding of the study sample in genetics. Another test consisted of (20) items also used to measure their motivation to accomplish the duties in classroom. The study showed that there is a significant effect of teaching chemistry by using (think, write, pair, and share) strategy on chemical equations understanding and development of motivation to accomplish the duties in classroom.
