AB - Dealing with the existing study the subject of important topics in psychology and education represented in the self-esteem and its relationship to professional maturity among university students; he was released from the following general problem: is there a correlation between self-esteem and professional maturity among university students? And it branched out into a set of questions. Answer these questions formulated appropriate hypotheses to be tested a sample of 100 students (65 male and 35 female) from the first year students of the final year specialty maintenance and industrial safety at the university of Oran, there ages ranged between (18 and 24 years) using a measure of self-esteem for Adel Abdullah Mohamed and professional maturity test for Crites. After statistical analysis of the data has been reached following results: 1) There is a statistically significant correlation between self-esteem and professional maturity. 2) There is a statistically significant difference between students with low self and those with high self-esteem in terms of maturity of vocational appreciated. 3) There is no a statistically significant difference between the students of the early years of university and the final years in terms of professional maturity. 4) There is no a statistically significant difference between the sexes in terms of students self-esteem. 5) There is no a statistically significant difference between students of both sexes in terms of professional maturity.
