AB - This study aimed at identifying the beliefs of Arabic teachers of the public schools of South Shonah ‘s directorate of Education regarding the profession of teaching and the extent of the relation between these beliefs and the teachers’ skills of teaching . The sample of the study consisted of (28) teachers; (17) represented the level of the high studies and (11) represented bachelor level. To answer the questions of the study, the researcher used the observation card of the skills of teaching and the measurement of the Arabic teachers’ beliefs towards the teaching profession. The validity and reliability of these tools were asserted. The results indicated that there were significant differences at the level of significance (α=0.05) between the bachelor level and the high studies’ level (methods of teaching) in the beliefs towards the teaching profession in favor of the high studies’ level. And it also showed that there were no significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the first three skills in the bachelor level between all of the teachers of the bachelor level and between their peers of the high studies’ level. And finally it showed that the Correlation coefficient between the teachers’ beliefs and their teaching skills was strong and statically significant at the level of the significance (α = 0.05). The study provided several recommendations.
