AB - The research aims at exploring the relation between children’s perception of parental acceptance-rejection by (the father & mother) and their feeling with psychological security in the late childhood. In addition, the research aims at identifying the relation between some demographic variables such as: child gender, the educational level of the parents with both of perceived parental acceptance-rejection and psychological security. The sample of the study consisted of (533) boys/girls students at the fourth, fifth and sixth grades of the primary stage aged between 9-12 years. The results revealed that: (a) there is a statistically significant positive correlation between children’s perception of rejection by (the father & mother) and their feeling with psychological insecurity. (b) There is a statistically significant negative correlation between children’s perception of acceptance by (the father & mother) and their feeling with psychological insecurity. (c) There are statistically significant differences among the study groups in regards to their perception of the father’s acceptance which may be due to child gender in favor of the girls. (d) There are statistically significant differences among the study groups in regards to their perception of the father’s rejection due to child gender in favor of the boys. (e)There are statistically significant differences among the study groups in regards to their perception of the mother’s rejection due to them other’s educational level in favor of the group of children whose mothers with a low educational level compared to the mothers with a high educational level. (f) There are statistically significant differences in regards to perception of the mother’s rejection in favor of the group of children whose mothers were with a moderate educational level compared to those with a higher educational level. (G) There are statistically insignificant differences among the study groups in regards to psychological security, due to child gender and the educational level of both parents and a bilateral or triple interaction between them.
