هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على درجة امتلاك معلمي الطلبة الموهوبين للكفايات المهنية في ضوء معايير الجمعية الأمريكية للطلبة الموهوبين، والكشف عن مدى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات تقدير أفراد العينة تعزى لمتغيرات (الجنس، المؤهل العلمي، وسنوات الخدمة)، وقد اشتملت عينة الدراسة على (45) معلما ومعلمة، وقد استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي كمنهج للدراسة واعتمدت على الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، وقد أظهرت النتائج: أن "الكفايات المهنية للمعلمين وأسس اختيارهم" جاءت بدرجة (عالية). كما أظهرت نتائج الدراسة عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية عند مستوى دلالة (α≤0,05) في استجابات عينة الدراسة حول محاور الاستبانة ككل وفقا لمتغيرات: (الجنس، العمر، المؤهل العلمي، سنوات الخبرة). وأوصت الدراسة بالعديد من التوصيات أهمها: ضرورة توظيف معلمي الطلاب الموهوبين بعد اجتيازهم للاختبارات الشخصية والأكاديمية في ضوء معايير الجمعية الأمريكية للطلبة الموهوبين، والالتزام بها وتفعيلها، وضرورة الاهتمام بالجوانب الوجدانية للطلاب المعلمين بكليات التربية، وإتباع أساليب حديثة للعمل على تنميتها. The present study aimed at identifying the degree of possession of gifted teachers for professional competencies in light of the standards of the American association of gifted students and revealing the existence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of the sample members due to the variables (gender, qualification, and years of service) the study used (45) teachers. The study used the descriptive approach as a method of study and relied on the questionnaire as a tool for study. The results showed that "the professional competencies of the teachers and the bases of their choice" came at a high level. The results of the study showed no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0,05) in the responses of the sample of the study on the axes of the questionnaire as a whole according to the variables (gender, age, qualification, years of experience). The study recommended several recommendations: the need to employ talented teachers after passing personal and academic tests in light of the standards of the American association of gifted students. The commitment and activation of these students should be taken into consideration. (Published abstract)
