هدفت الدراسة إلى تحليل العلاقة بين التفكير الناقد والوعي بالأمن الوطني لدى طلبة الكلية الجامعية بأملج، تكونت عينة الدراسة من (141) طالبا وطالبة، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدم الباحثون اختبار كاليفورنيا لمهارات التفكير الناقد نموذج (2000)، ومقياس الوعي بالأمن الوطني الذي تم تطويره لغايات هذه الدراسة، بعد التحقق من خصائصهما السيكومترية، وملاءمتهما للبيئة السعودية، وأظهرت النتائج: وجود علاقة ارتباطية موجبة بين التفكير الناقد والوعي بالأمن الوطني، كما وأظهرت انخفاضا في مستوى التفكير الناقد، وارتفاعا في مستوى الوعي بالأمن الوطني، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في التفكير الناقد والوعي بالأمن الوطني، تعزى لمتغير النوع الاجتماعي لصالح الذكور. This study aims to analyze the relationship between critical thinking and national security awareness among students of University College of Umluj. Study sample includes (141) male and female students. To achieve the main goal of the study, the researchers use California critical thinking skills test 2000 (CCTSI) and security awareness scale which is developed for the purpose of this study. After examining its psychometrics characteristics and its fitness with Saudi culture, the results of the research show that there is a positive correlation between critical thinking and national security awareness. The results of the research also reveal that the level of critical thinking was low comparing with the level of national awareness which was high. In addition to that, the results show statistically significant differences in the level of critical thinking and the level of national awareness refer to sex for the benefit of male students.
