هدفت هذه الدارسة إلى معرفة العلاقة بين الأداء السياقي لأعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعات المصرية والتنمية المهنية لهم، واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي، وطبقت الدراسة على عينة من 111 عضو هيئة تدريس بالجامعات المصرية، وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن أنه لا توجد علاقة ارتباطية بين الأداء السياقي وإجمالي محاور التنمية المهنية والتي تشمل کل من الدورات التدريبية، وحضور المؤتمرات، والإنتاج العلمي، بينما توجد علاقة طردية قوية بين الأداء السياقي وحضور المؤتمرات، وتوجد علاقة قوية بين الإنتاج العلمي والالتزام الوظيفي، وتوجد علاقة عکسية بين الأداء السياقي وحضور الدورات، وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تلبية الدورات التدريبية لاحتياجات أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والتشجيع على البحث العلمي وحضور المؤتمرات. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the performance of contextual faculty staff at Egyptian universities, and professional development for them, the study used a descriptive approach, and applied to the study on a sample of 111 faculty staff at Egyptian universities, and the results of the study that there is no correlation between the performance of contextual and total development axes professional, which includes all of the training courses, attending conferences, scientific productivity, while there is a strong positive correlation between the performance of contextual and attend conferences, and there is a strong relationship between scientific productivity and job commitment, and there is an inverse relationship between the performance of contextual and attend courses, and study recommended the need to meet the needs of the training courses faculty members, and to encourage scientific research and attend conferences.
