يلعب الذكاء الوجداني دورا فعالا في حياة الأفراد والمجتمعات لأنه يقوم في جوهره على الانفعالات الايجابية التي تعزز النمو الوجداني والعقلي، وتتمثل مشكلة الدراسة في دراسة فاعلية برنامج إرشادي معرفي سلوكي لتنمية الذكاء الوجداني لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية، فالتلاميذ الأذكياء عاطفيا يكونون أكثر قدرة على التحصيل المرتفع، كما أنهم أكثر دافعية وانجازا ورضا عن الحياة، لذلك فمن واجبات المدرسة والمناهج أن تسعى لرفع مستوى الذكاء الوجداني لدى تلاميذها، وهذه تمثل مشكلة أمام التربويين، حيث إن تنمية الذكاء الوجداني يمثل مدخل مهم للتحصيل الدراسي ودافعية الانجاز. Emotional intelligence plays an effective role in the lives of individuals and societies because it is based, in essence, on positive emotions that promote emotional and mental development, and the problem of the study is to study the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral counseling program for developing emotional intelligence among primary school students, so emotionally intelligent students are more capable of high achievement. They are also more motivated, accomplished and satisfied with life, so it is the school's duties and curricula to seek to raise the level of emotional intelligence among its students, and this represents a problem for educators, as the development of emotional intelligence represents an important entrance to academic achievement and achievement motivation.
