هدف البحث للكشف عن مدى تضمين مهارات التفكير البصري في مقرر العلوم للصف الخامس الابتدائي في المملكة العربية السعودية. ولتحقيق هذا الهدف اُستخدم المنهج الوصفي ممثلاً بأسلوب تحليل المحتوى، وتمثل مجتمع البحث في مقرر العلوم للصف الخامس الابتدائي (طبعة 1440- 1441 هـ) بجزأيه الفصل الدراسي الأول والثاني، وشملت عينة البحث كافة الصور المضمنة بالمقرر بمختلف أنماطها، والبالغ عددها (512) صورة. وفي سبيل تحقيق أهداف البحث تم إعداد قائمة بمهارات التفكير البصري اللازم توفرها في مقرر العلوم للصف الخامس الابتدائي، ومن ثم تحويلها إلى استمارة تحليل المحتوى. وقد توصل البحث إلى أن توفر مهارات التفكير البصري في مقرر العلوم للصف الخامس الابتدائي جاء ككل (بدرجة منخفضة)، وذلك بواقع (1677) تكراراً، وبنسبة مئوية %27,29، حيث جاء توفر هذه المهارات بفارق طفيف لصالح مقرر الفصل الدراسي الثاني مقارنة بمقرر الفصل الدراسي الأول، وذلك بنسب مئوية 13.93%، 13.36% على التوالي. This study aimed to identify the extent of inclusion of visual thinking skills in the science course for the 5th Primary Grade in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive analytical method and the study population was represented in the science course for 5th Primary Grade (1440-1441 Edition) in both first and second semester. While the study sample covered all the pictures included in the course of various types, which its the number are (512) images. In order to achieve the study objectives, the researcher prepared a list of visual thinking skills which must be include in the science course for the 5th Primary Grade, and then transferred it to the content analysis card. The study results The extent of inclusion of visual thinking skills in the science course for the 5th Primary Grade came as a whole with a (low degree), (1677) repetitions, and a percentage of (27.29%), where the extent of inclusion of these skills came with a slight difference in favor of the second semester compared to the semester First, by percentages (13.93% and 13.36%), respectively.
