This study aimed to explore the relationship between experimental avoidance and social anxiety in university students, as well as to examine the effect of gender variables and the level of experimental avoidance on social anxiety, and to detect the dimensions of experimental avoidance that predict social anxiety. The study was conducted on a sample of 302 university students Zagazig University (71 students, 231 students), they complete the scale of acceptance and action-2 'Bond, F. et al., 2011' Translated by the researcher and the social anxiety scale prepared by the researcher, the results showed a positive statistically significant correlation between experimental avoidance and its dimensions and social anxiety, The results of the study also showed that there was a statistically significant effect of the gender factors and the level of experimental avoidance separately on social anxiety, while the interaction factor between them did not have any effect on social anxiety. The results also showed that the experimental avoidance dimensions predict the emergence of social anxiety and its dimensions in a sample of university students. (Published abstract)
