هدفت هذه الدراسة التعرَف إلى درجة ممارسة معلمي الاجتماعيات لمهارات التفكير التأملي من وجهة نظرهم. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي. وتم تصميم استبانة لجمع البيانات من أفراد عينة الدراسة تكونت من (41) فقرة ووزعت على خمسة مجالات. وبعد التأكد من صدق الأداة وثباتها وزعت على عينة الدراسة والمكونة من (46) معلم ومعلمة، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج كان من أهمها: أن معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية ومعلماتها يمارسون مهارات التفكير التأملي بدرجة مرتفعة، كما أظهرت أن آراء المعلمين حول درجة ممارستهم لمهارات التفكير التأملي لا تختلف باختلاف متغيراتهم الشخصية. The current study aimed to identify the extent of practicing the meditative thinking skills by social studies teachers from their perspective. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey approach was used. Questionnaires were prepared to collect data from the study sample with (41) items that were distributed to five areas. After confirming the validity and reliability of the tool, the researcher distributed the questionnaires to the study sample which consisted of 43 male and female teachers. The study concluded that the social studies teachers practice the meditative thinking skills by a high degree and that the viewpoints of teachers regarding their extent of practicing the meditative thinking skills do not defer by their personal variables.
