The problem of research is that the students in the youth phase are constantly using the Internet for all programs and for long periods, which affects the level or degree of mental alertness they have Research objectives have been determined by: 1) Identify the level of addiction to the Internet in the researchsample.2) Identify the level of mental alertness in the research sample.3) To identify the relationship between addiction to the Internet mental alertness in the sample research. The researchers hypothesized: There is no significant correlation between addiction to the Internet and mental alertness in the research sample. There is no significant correlation between addiction to the Internet and mental alertness in the research sample. To achieve the objectives of the research, the researchers used the internet addiction scale prepared by Syed Yousef, and the mental alert scale prepared by Hamza Tel and after the extraction of honesty and consistency for each. The research society determined the students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Science for Girls for the academic year 2016-2017. The sample of 200 randomly selected students from the four stages and after the statistical treatment using the Pearson correlation coefficient based on the statistical bag spss showed the following results: 1) There is a negative inverse relationship between online addiction and mental alertness. 2) Addiction to the Internet leads to poor mental alertness or absence in the youth group represented by the research sample. In the light of the results reached, the two studies came out with a number of recommendations, Minimize browsing hours on web sites. 2) Give time or allocate enough time to exercise activities of mental alertness and meditation because of the large role of increasing the focus and improve the processes of thinking.
