هدفت الدراسة إلى تقديم نموذج مقترح لمركز إعلامي بجامعة ذمار في ضوء التجارب والخبرات المعاصرة، وذلك باستخدام المنهج الوصفي المقارن الـذي يعتمد على تجميع الحقائق والمعلومات، ثم مقارنتها وتحليلها وتفسيرها، للوصول إلى تعميمات مقبولة، كسبيل للتعرف إلى طبيعة الإعلام الجامعي ووظائفه وأهدافه، وأبرز التجارب والخبرات المعاصرة في هذا المجال. وقـد تمكن الباحث من تقديم نموذج مقترح لمركز إعلامي بجامعة ذمار يتكون من خمسة عناصر رئيسية هي: رؤية المركز الإعلامي ورسالته، وأهدافه، ومهامه واختصاصاته، والهيكل التنظيمي، بالإضافة الى الأسس التي يقوم عليها التصور المقترح ومبرراته ومتطلبات تنفيذه. This study aimed at providing a Proposed Model of Media Center at Thamar University in the light of the contemporary experiences. The researcher used the comparative descriptive curriculum that depends on compilation of the facts and information, then compare and analysis and interpretation, to reach the acceptable generalizations, as a way to learn to the nature of the University's media, its functions and objectives, and the contemporary experiments in this field. The study came up with a suggested model which comprised five elements: vision, message, objectives, functions, and organizational structure. (Published Abstract)
