هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع استخدام أعضاء هيئة التدريس بجامعة الملك سعود لشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي (تويتر- الفيسبوك) في التدريس الجامعي، وتأثير كل من (الدرجة العلمية، والتخصص، والخبرة) في استجابات أعضاء هيئة التدريس. ولتحقيق ذلك تم اختيار عينة تكونت من 549 عضواً، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن استخدام أفراد العينة لشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في التدريس الجامعي كانت بدرجة ضعيفة، ودرجة أهمية استخدام شبكات التواصل الاجتماعي في التدريس الجامعي كانت بدرجة متوسطة، ودرجة وجود المعوقات التي تواجه أعضاء هيئة التدريس في استخدامهم لشبكات التواصل الاجتماعي كانت بدرجة متوسطة. كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات الأعضاء تعزى لمتغير "الدرجة العلمية" للمحور الأول، وذلك لصالح أفراد العينة في درجة (أستاذ مساعد). ووجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات الأعضاء تعزى لمتغير "التخصص" للمحور الثاني، وذلك لصالح أفراد العينة في التخصص (العلمي). كما أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية بين استجابات الأعضاء حول محاور الدراسة الثلاثة تُعزى لمتغير الخبرة، وذلك لصالح أفراد العينة ذوي الخبرة (من 10 سنوات فأكثر). This study aimed to recognize the reality of the faculty members’ use for social networks (twitter- face book) in academic teaching at King Saud University. And the effect for each of (academic degree discipline- experience) on the responses of the faculty, to achieve this a sample consists of 549 members were selected. The study results indicated that the use of respondents for social networking in academic teaching was weak, and the importance degree of social networks use in university teaching was moderate, and the degree of existing constraints that face the faculty in their use of social networks was moderate. The results also indicated a presence of significant statistically difference among responses of members due to the variable “the academic degree” of the first theme, in favor of study samples with degree (Assistant Professor). A presence of significant statistically difference among responses of members due to the variable “discipline” of the second theme, in the favor of study samples in (academic discipline), The results also indicated a significant statistically difference among the responses of members on the three themes of the study, due to the variable experience, and that for the favor of study samples who have the experience (10 years or more).
