The current study aimed at assessing the degree to which the standards of care and support, learning, and speech and language services for children with intellectual disabilities in Kuwait in light of the international standards. The study included 200 participants, 46 teachers, 146 teachers, and 8 principals. To achieve the goal of the study, the researchers designed a special tool for standards of care and support, learning, and speech and language therapy for children with intellectual disabilities in Kuwait. The results indicated that the standards of speech and language services were ranked first with the highest average, followed by the standards of care and support, while the last criteria were learning standards. The results also indicate that there are no statistically significant differences in the assessment of services provided to children with intellectual disabilities in Kuwait according to the views of parents, teachers and principals. The study recommended the need to evaluate and provide services to children with intellectual disabilities in the light of international standards. (Published Abstract)
