يهدف البحث  إلى معرفة درجة إتقان طلبة الصف السابع الأساسي علامات الترقيم، ومعرفة الفروق بين الجنسين في درجة الاتقان، في مدارس المرحلة الأساسية بمحافظة شمال غزة. واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتم تطبيق اختبار تحصيلي على عينة البحث التي قوامها 320 طالباً وطالبةً، وقد أظهر البحث عدداً من النتائج، أهمها أن النقطتين الرأسيتين أعلى نقطة تميز، وأن هناك ضعفاً عاماً فيما يتعلق بوضع الفاصلة المنقوطة؛ حيث حازت على أقل ترتيب، وكذلك علامة التنصيص، والفاصلة، وعلامة الاستفهام، والشرطة، فقد حازت هذه العلامات على أقل من 50%. The objective of the research is to determine how students of seventh grade master the use of punctuation marks, and the variables of gender in mastering the use of punctuation. The researcher has used the analytical descriptive approach and the result test was applied on a sample that has 320 members. The research shows the most important results that the highest marks were for the use of colon, there was a general weakness in the use of the semicolon؛ and the result was the lowest. Also the result of using the square prickets، the comma، the question mark and the dash was less than %50. (Published abstract)
