هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أسباب إقبال الفلسطينيين على الالتحاق بالتعليم العالي في الجامعات الفلسطينية في الفصل الثاني من العام الدراسي 2015/ 2016، وإلى معرفة أثر متغيرات كل من: الجامعة، والجنس، ومكان السكن، والتخصص، والمعدل التراكمي، في تقييم أسباب الإقبال على التعليم العالي. وقد استخدم الباحث الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، إذ تكونت من 25 فقرة، وقد تم التحقق من صدق أداة الدراسة وثباتها، حيث بلغ معامل الثبات الكلي 0.89. واشتملت عينة الدراسة على 15% من مجتمع الدراسة، حيث تكونت من 210 طالب وطالبة من طلاب السنة الرابعة في جامعتي القدس المفتوحة وفلسطين التقنية/ خضوري. أظهرت نتائج الدراسة: إن جميع مجالات الدراسة وهي مجال الأسباب النفسية والاجتماعية والعلمية والاقتصادية والدرجة الكلية حصلت على رتبة مرتفعة جدا. لا توجد فروق ذوات دلالة إحصائية على الجنس والتخصص، وتوجد فروق على متغير مكان السكن في مجال الأسباب النفسية، ومتغير التخصص على مجال الأسباب العلمية، ومتغير المعدل التراكمي على جميع المجالات مع الدرجة الكلية. ومن أهم التوصيات التي أوصت بها الدراسة: ضرورة أن تقوم الجامعات بالتعرف على توجهات الطلبة وصقل هذه التوجهات لتصب بالمصلحة العامة. The study aimed to identify the reasons of the Palestinians’ demand for higher education from the perspective of students at the Palestinian universities during the second semester of the academic year 2015/ 2016. It also aimed to identify the effect of the variables (university, gender, place of residence, discipline and average) on the Palestinian demand for higher education. The researcher used a questionnaire as a study tool, which consisted of 25 items. The internal consistency and reliability of the study tool was verified, where the overall reliability coefficient was 0.89. The study sample consisted of 15% of the study population, which involved 210 fourth-year students at the Al- Quds Open University and the Palestine Technical University. The study results showed that the all domains of study were very high, including psychological, social, scientific, and economic factors and overall degree. There were no significant differences in terms of gender and discipline. However, there were significant differences in the variable of place of residence under the psychological domains, the variable of discipline under the scientific domains, and variable of academic average under the entire domains with the overall degree. The study recommended that the universities should identify and refine trends among students to achieve public interest. (Published abstract)
