هدفت الدراسة الحالية الكشف عن أثر استخدام التاريخ الشفوي كمُدخل في تدريس تاريخ الأردن الحديث والمعاصر في تحصيل الطلبة، وتنمية ثقافتهم. التاريخية الوطنية ، وإيجاد بيئة تدريسية آمنة ، ولتحقيق الهدف تم اعتماد المنهج شبة التجريبي، حيث تم بناء أربع أدوات للدراسة وهي: اختبار تحصيلي، واختبار تنمية الثقافة التاريخية الوطنية، وأسئلة مقابلة، ومقياس البيئة التدريسية الآمنة، وقد تم التأكد من صدق وثبات الأدوات، حيث طبقت هذه الأدوات على عينة تجريبية بلغ عددها 41 طالب وطالبة وعينة، ضابطة بلغ عددها 46 من طلبة قسم التاريخ في جامعة اليرموك للعام الدراسي 2013/ 2014حيث أظهرت النتائج وجود أثر لمُدخل التاريخ الشفوي في التحصيل حيث بلغ حجم الأثر 449 لصالح المجموعة التجريبية كما تبين وجود أثر لصالح المجموعة التجريبية في اختبار الثقافة التاريخية الوطنية حيث بلغ حجم الاثر 377. كما أظهرت النتائج وجود أثر للتاريخ الشفوي في ايجاد بيئة تدريسية آمنة وبدرجة مرتفعة وبمتوسط 3.90. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of using oral history as an approach to teach recent and contemporary history of Jordan on students’ achievement and in developing their national and historical culture and in creating a safe teaching. To achieve this aim, the researcher adopted a quasi- experimental approach by developing four tools: an achievement test, developing historical and national culture test, interview questions and safe school environment scale. The validity and the reliability of the tools were checked and applied on an experimental group of 41 male and female students and on a control group of 46 male and female students from Department of History in Yarmouk University of the academic year 2013/2014. The findings of the study showed that there is an effect of the oral history approach on students› achievements totaled 0.449 in favor of the experimental group. Moreover, there are significant statistical differences in favor of the experimental group totaled 0.377.There is also an effect of the oral history on finding safe teaching environment.
