هدفت الدراسة إلى إبراز وجهة نظر أولياء الأمور حول أساليب المعاملة الوالدية وعلاقتها بالسلوك العدواني بالإضافة إلى معرفة العلاقة بين المعاملة الوالدية السيئة ونمو السلوك العدواني لدى الطفل من وجهة نظر أولياء الأمور حيث تمثلت مشكلة البحث في ملاحظة الباحث من خلال متابعته اللصيقة للمدارس الابتدائية بأن هنالك ظاهرة السلوك العدواني التي أصبحت تنتشر كل سنة بسرعة سواء كانت نحو التلاميذ أنفسهم أو اتجاه ممتلكات المدارس والذي يأخذ أشكالا عديدة، الأمر الذي يجعل أولياء أمور التلاميذ يترددون إلى المدرسة ليشكون من تصرفات أبنائهم التي أصبحت تشكل لهم حاجزا. من خلال ذلك توصلت الدراسة إلى أهم نتائج الدراسة، الأسلوب التسلطي من أكثر الأساليب المستخدمة لدى أفراد عينة البحث، توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في أساليب المعاملة الوالدية باختلاف الجنس (ذكر-أنثى) لصالح الذكور، توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في أساليب المعاملة الوالدية تعزى للمستوى التعليمي.
