هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على فاعلية برنامج تدريبي في تحسين مستوى معرفة مُعلمي التعليم العام باضطراب ضعف الانتباه والنشاط الزائد، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 80 معلماً من مُعلمي التعليم العام الملتحقين ببرنامج الدبلوم التربوي في جامعة الملك عبد العزيز في مدينة جدة، تم توزيعهم إلى مجموعتين تجريبية تكونت من 40 معلماً، وضابطة تكونت من 40 معلماً. وقد قام الباحث باستخدام اخبتاراً تحصيلياً لقياس مستوى معرفة مُعلمي التعليم العام باضطراب ضعف الانتباه والنشاط الزائد، تكون من 30 فقرة موزعة على ثلاثة أبعاد هي: (المعرفة العامة، والخصائص والتشخيص، والتدخلات العلاجية)، كما قام الباحث بإعداد برنامج تدريبي احتوى على ثماني جلسات بواقع ساعتين لكل جلسة، وذلك لتحسين مستوى معرفة المعلمين بالاضطراب. وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى فاعلية البرنامج التدريبي في تحسين مستوى معرفة مُعلمي التعليم العام باضطراب ضعف الانتباه والنشاط الزائد على الدرجة الكلية والأبعاد الفرعية على القياس البعدي ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية، كما أشارت نتائج الدراسة إلى عدم وجود فروق بين القياسين البعدي والمتابعة لأفراد المجموعة التجريبية على الدرجة الكلية والأبعاد الفرعية للاختبار التحصيلي، وهذا يشير إلى استمرارية أثر البرنامج التدريبي لدى أفراد المجموعة التجريبية. The present study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of a training program to improve the level of public education teacher’s knowledge about ADHD. The study sample consisted of 80 teachers of public education registered in Educational Diploma program at King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah. The sample was distributed into experimental group consisted of 40 teachers and the control group consisted of 40 teachers. The researcher used an achievement test which consisted 30 items distributed on three dimensions (general knowledge, characteristics and diagnosis, and Therapeutic interventions) to measure the level of public education teacher’s knowledge about ADHD. The researcher prepared a training program to improve the level of public education teacher’s knowledge in ADHD. The program consists of 8 sessions for two hours each. The results of the study Indicated effectiveness of the training program to improve public education teacher’s knowledge about ADHD on the total score and sub – dimensional Measurements in favor of the experimental group. The results of the study also revealed that there are no significant differences between the posttest and follow- up for members of the experimental group in the total score and three dimensions. This indicates that the program has a continuous positive effect on teachers’ knowledge about ADHD. (Published abstract)
