AU - Hussein, Azhar Mohammed AB - A textbook is an organized group of calculated material. In Iraq, ''English for Iraq'' is taught from the 1st intermediate till the sixth preparatory students’ book, Activity book, Teacher’s book, and Curriculum Document were all suggested by the Ministry of Education. In order to decide whether textbooks writers are currently able to meet the educational objectives, the researcher will take the 2nd intermediate students’ book as a sample under investigation. The researcher will study whether the socio- cultural aspect of the 2nd intermediate textbook is successfully activated. In this study, section one is an introduction of the research. Section two is the theoretical background in which the researcher defines evaluation shedding light on the importance of evaluation and the foundation of Iraqi Textbook Section three is the methodology of the research. Then section four is about the findings and discussions and the fifth section is the conclusion of the research.
