This research aims to identify the obstacles in applying comprehensive quality management and the ways to improve it from students’ viewpoint at the Department of History in the College of Education for Women, University of Baghdad. The research group consisted of all 3313 students of the College of Education for Women -1 a Baghdad University. The researcher randomly selected a basic sample of (95) female students from the Department of History. The questionnaire adopted a tool to achieve the goal of the research as its credibility was extracted through the presentation to a group of specialists in the educational sciences, psychology and history, and stability was based on the method of the equation Alpha Kronbach as the coefficient of stability (95.6). The results showed that there were a number of real obstacles in the application of quality (19) paragraphs; data also showed that there were obstacles in the application of quality was not real as were diagnosed from their point of view. The number of 16 items out of the total of 35 items of the tool was not met in the light of the approved standard (3.00) and the researcher made several conclusions, recommendations and proposals.
