The study aimed to explore to what extent admission criteria of faculty of medicine (high school average, general abilities test degree, and achievement test degree) can interpret theoretical and clinical cumulative average variation. The sample consists of 182 graduate students from faculty of medicine in northern border university between 2007-2017. Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis method were used for data analysis. The findings revealed that there was no correlation between graduate students’ high school average and their clinical cumulative average variation. It was also found that there was a positive correlation between both (general abilities test degree, and achievement test degree) and clinical cumulative average variation. Finally, achievement test degree contributed in the interpretation of the theoretical cumulative average variation with a percentage of about (20%), and clinical cumulative average variation with a percentage of about (12%); while both high school average, general abilities test degree were excluded.
