واقع مكتبة الطفل ببعض روضات مدينة الرياض ودور المعلمة في تفعيلها



The study aimed at knowing the standards, preparations and contents currently available in child’s library at kindergarten, and discloses the role of the teachers in activating such libraries and activities given by them, focusing on educational and cultural importance of library, and recommendations for developing it. The study used the descriptive approach and an open-closed ended questionnaire. The sample of the study consisted of (70) teachers from the government and private kindergartens. Results showed that the most required standard for the library is to be in a quiet and safe place with sufficient lighting. The existing materials that are available contain printed maters together with books and shelves. The most activities done by the teacher for the library presented in the reinforcement of reading and speaking skills, and linking the school curriculum with the resources available in the library, The study ended with some useful recommendations.
