The research aimed at building a training program based on the communicative approach to develop language for vocational purposes skills and investigates its impact on the level of quality of life for hearing-impaired students in the preparatory stage. The research sample consisted of (20) male students of hearing-impaired in the third grade of the preparatory school (Amal Al-Safa school for the deaf and hard of hearing), Al-Safa educational Directorate, Giza governorate. Their chronological ages range from (17-18) years and their IQ test scores are from (90-100), and they have no other disabilities, based on the records of hearing-impaired students at the school, and they were divided into two groups: one is experimental (10) students and the other is control (10) students. The research instruments consisted of language for vocational purposes skills test, and the quality-of-life scale for the hearing-impaired students (prepared by the researchers). The results revealed the effectiveness of the training program based on the communicative approach in developing language for vocational purposes skills and improving the quality of life for hearing-impaired students in the preparatory stage, as well as the continuity of its effectiveness in follow-up measurement. The time period for the research included (12) lessons with (24) lessons, over a period of (8) weeks, with (3) lessons per week. The research recommended the need to pay attention to the development of language for vocational purposes skills, which contributes to the preparation of hearing-impaired students in a good way to enroll in Technical Education Colleges, and the importance of developing the courses of hearing-impaired students at various educational stages in light of the communicative approach.
