This study aims at investigating the reality of applying online supervision in field training at Sultan Qaboos University and its obstacles from the perspectives of supervisors and candidates. The study sample consisted of (27) supervisors and (100) candidates. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (54) items and covering two domains: the reality of the application, and the obstacles. The validity of its content was verified by presenting it to a group of arbitrators, and an estimation of reliability using Cronbach-Alpha indicated 0.88. The study results revealed that the reality of applying online supervision in field training at Sultan Qaboos University was on an average degree from the perspectives of supervisors and candidates. The results were discussed in the light of the theoretical framework. The study concluded with several recommendations and proposals. (Published abstract)
