This study aimed at identifying the effect of using the flipped learning strategy on achievement in mathematics of seven grade students and their attitude toward it in Wadi al-seer district. It was carried out in Jordan in the second semester of the school year (2021-2022). This study used the Quasi-experimental approach and the descriptive analytic approach. The study was applied to sample of (45) students of the seventh grade. The sample was divided into (23) students in the experimental group, and (22) students in the control group. The experimental group was taught using the flipped learning strategy while the control one was taught using the instructional strategy. This study used learning materials which include the teacher’s guide, and the tools of the study were the achievement test and the measure of attitude towards mathematics. The results of the study showed that a statistically significant difference in students’ achievements between the experimental group that learned using the flipped learning strategy and the control group that learned using the instructional strategy in favor of the experimental group, and there was a statistically significant difference in attitudes towards mathematics and in favor of the experimental group. In light of these results, the researcher suggested a number of recommendations including enlightening teachers and encouraging them to use the flipped learning strategy in teaching mathematics and other subjects. Also, more studies that deal with the use of the flipped learning strategy in teaching mathematics and other courses for different academic stages should be conducted. (Author’s abstract)
