فاعلية برنامج إرشادي قائم على اللعب التظاهري لتنمية مهارة حل المشكلات لدى الأطفال ذوي الإعاقة السمعية

The current research aimed at identifying the effectiveness of using a counseling program based on pretend play in developing problem-solving skills of children with hearing impairment. The study relied on the experimental research of a quasi-experimental design that follows the one-group design with pre-and post-measurement for the children of the group, as it is the most relevant to the study nature. The study sample comprised (12) male and female children with hearing impairment (5- 10) years who were enrolled in Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in El-Minia Governorate in the second semester of the academic year (2020-2021). For data collection, the Stanford- Binet intelligence scale "Fifth Edition" (Arabized by Mahmoud Abu El-Nile, 2011), the social and economic level form (by Abdul Aziz El Shaks, 2013), the pictured problem-solving scale (prepared by the researcher), and the counseling program that based on pretend play (prepared by the researcher) were utilized. Results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the scores of the pre-and post-measurements of the research group in the pictured problem-solving scale for children with hearing impairment in favor of the post-measurement. Besides, there were no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the scores of the post- and follow-up measurements. (Published abstract)
