The study aimed to reveal the differential item functioning for the triarchic intelligence test according to gender and academic major (science / art) among Qassim university students. The sample consisted of (201) students (99) males and 144 females) who were chosen by the cluster random technique. The study used Sternberg Triarchic Intelligence Test that was translated by Lotfi (2004). Based on the Mantel Henzel method. The results of the study showed that there were (17) items with differential functioning according to the gender: (6) items in favor of males, and (11) items in favor of females. It also showed that there were (20) items with differential functioning according to the majors: (7) items in favor of science students, and (13) items in favor of students of arts.
