The study aimed to know the effect of self-learning on the immediate and delayed achievement of high school student SBA in Jeddah in chemistry 3. It used the quasi-experimental approach, and the study population consisted of third-year secondary school students in the same secondary school, while the research sample consisted of Division (5) and numbered (30) students who were divided into two equal groups, one experimental and the other controlling. The test was used as a research tool. And it found the effectiveness of self-learning in increasing the delayed achievement without having a clear effect on the immediate achievement. The study recommended the use of self-learning in teaching, holding courses for teachers on. (Author’s abstract)
