The present study aimed to identify the Professional development teams is an introduction to support schools-Based teacher professional development programs in the Sultanate of Oman in light of the models of some countries. The study used the descriptive method, and the analysis of documents was used in collecting data and information. The results of the study found that there are schools-Based professional development teams for teachers that are responsible for their operations and programs in planning, implementation and evaluation, in the models of some countries of the world such as: the United States of America, New Zealand, Canada, England, Malaysia, Germany, Egypt, and Ethiopia. As for the Sultanate of Oman, there are no specialized teams for the school-Based professional development of teachers, as they assign their responsibilities to the development and improvement team (self-evaluation). The study recommended the establishment of professional development units in all schools in the Sultanate of Oman, and the formation of professional development teams for teachers to assume responsibility for these units, and consist of representatives from the school management, teachers, specialists, supportive functions, educational supervisors, parents, and the local community.
