This study focused on the Arabic language textbook for grade 3, which is based on quality standards and standards-based curricula, and their role in the achievement of learners. This class was chosen because it is the last grade of the first cycle, where the learner has acquired the skills of writing and reading, has finished the simulation stage, and begun the actual application of the Arabic language. Noticing how weak the learners are in the Arabic language was the starting point for this study. A questionnaire was sent to 120 Arabic language teachers to ask their opinion about the textbook. Then, 200 learners were chosen, they were divided into two groups: the first group is the control sample who learned based on the normal curriculum, and the second group is the experimental sample who learned based on the standards-based curriculum. This study reached the following results: An improvement in learning of the Arabic language was detected in the sample who learned according to the standards-based curriculum, the acquisition of competencies in the experimental sample is higher than the extent of its acquisition in the control sample, conformity of the book's title and introduction to international quality standards, the content (content, activities, and calendar) does not conform to international quality standards, non-conformity of educational aids to international quality standards, the book's format and artistic output do not conform to international quality standards. Based on the results that were reached through this study, we included some recommendations and future proposals: Involving educators in developing Arabic language curricula and adopting a standards-based curriculum due to the improvement shown by this study, and involving them in designing courses and textbooks, publishers should financially invest in applying textbook quality standards to the books they produce, subject textbook authors to training courses that contribute to highlighting the importance of subject textbooks in terms of content to international quality standards, investing in educational aids that motivate the learner to absorb the information actively, training teachers to employ active methods in teaching that are consistent with the standards-based curriculum and to adopt quality in all educational aspects and writing a textbook based on acquiring the required standards.
