The present study aimed to measure the effectiveness of a proposed strategy based on the aesthetic approach in developing geometric sense and inclinations towards mathematics in the first-year middle school students. A geometry sense test, a mathematics inclination scale for geometry assessing students’ propensity towards geometry and measurement unit in their curriculum, and a teacher's guide, demonstrating the procedures to be taken by the teacher to teach geometry using the proposed strategy, were prepared. The first experimental group was taught using the proposed strategy, and the control group was taught using the conventional method in the second semester 2020-2021 AD. Then and there, the geometric sense test and the pre/post math inclination scale were administered to the experimental and control groups. Findings revealed the effectiveness of the proposed aesthetic approach-based strategy. This aesthetic approach also resulted in developing geometric sense and better inclinations towards mathematics in the first middle school students. (Published abstract)
