The research aimed to prepare a proposed program in social history based on travel literature to develop Historical text analysis skillsamong students of the History Division in the Faculty of Education. The researcher prepared a list of Historical text analysis skills, a proposed program in social history based on travel literature, a booklet of activities, and guide for the university teacher. A student from the third-year students, History Division, Faculty of Education, Damietta University, and the proposed program was applied to the students of the experimental group in the second semester 2020-2021 and the test was re-applied on the control and experimental groups. Experimental in favor of the post application, where the value of (T) was (25.82), which is statistically significant at the level (0.01), and there are differences between the mean scores of students in the control and experimental groups in the post application in favor of the experimental group, where the value of (T) was (23.72) which is statistically significant at the level of ( 0.01) The results also revealed the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing the skills of analyzing historical texts among the students of the research sample, where the effect size value was (0.94) and the values ​​of (d) corresponding to it (8.04), which indicates a large impact of the proposed program. The research recommended the necessity of using travel literature texts in teaching social history to develop the skills of analyzing historical texts among students of the History Division in the Faculty of Education.
