توجهات البحوث التربوية في مناهج الدراسات الاجتماعية في المجلات الخليجية المحكمة خلال الفترة (2018-2008)

The study followed the approach of content analysis, where a card was utilized to analyze (99) arbiter researches concerning social studies that were published in (33) Gulf scholarly journals. The main conclusions of the study are: results concerning curricula trends: most scholastic work followed the descriptive and empirical approaches consequently; the most common tools used were achievement tests then questionnaires. The study revealed that most researchers were males, and the scholastic outcome targeted public education, then university education. The middle school level was the most targeted area of the research studies, where most of the studies addressed the variables of the curriculum and the teacher, never the less paying special interest on curriculum variables, teaching methods, and then the content with no obvious interest in activities or objectives. As concerning the disciplines, focus was on social studies then geography, taking into consideration the teacher variable by studying teachers’ practices and assessments, researches also considered cognitive and hereafter affection factors, not giving much attention to other skill aspects, researches were also interested in educational environment and institutional support giving special interest for variables concerning the principal of the school and the educational supervisors.
