The aim of this study was to characterize the relationship between the knowledge management and the outstanding performance of employees at the Education Office at al-Qubba, Libya. A descriptive survey strategy was used in the study. Respondents included (69) individuals. Data were collected and verified using a questionnaire through which (4) scopes and (28) paragraphs, were covered. The study showed that all scopes were very sensitive to the variable sample responses. The results exhibited that there were differences due to the scientific qualifications variable which was obviously partial to the higher qualifications. Likewise, the higher experience mimicked the same pattern. It was observable that there was a strong correlation between knowledge management and the level performance. It was highly recommended that the evaluation of performance of individuals had to be based on their contributions on adopting the knowledge management practice. Conversion implicit knowledge into explicit one and providing an infrastructure for information and communication, were also additional recommendations. (Published abstract)
