This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of using digital educational platforms in developing the reading comprehension in English of first-year secondary school students in Jeddah. To achieve this goal, the quasi-experimental approach was used in conducting the study experiment, where the study sample consisting of (70) female students from the first year of secondary school in Jeddah was divided into two groups: an experimental group studying the English language course (reading comprehension skills) using the digital educational platform Seesaw. (n = 35), and a control group is studying the same course in the usual way (n = 35), during the second semester of the 2021 academic year .The study, by applying the reading comprehension test and the observation card, to the sample of the two study groups, before and after, reached the following: 1) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the achievement test for the level of critical reading comprehension, analytical reading and creative reading in English in favor of the experimental group. 2) There is a statistically significant difference at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the post application of the observation card for the level of critical reading comprehension, analytical reading and creative reading comprehension in English in favor of the experimental group. This study presents a set of results that may contribute to raising the level of English language proficiency of secondary school graduates, giving them the opportunity to study at the most famous universities in the world. In order for each of them to achieve his goal and prove himself in his field of specialization or in a new field, and in view of the positive results shown by the study, it was recommended to use the Seesaw educational platform in designing and teaching courses and preparing and training teachers and students to use this system.
