This study aims to read and analyze the written, adopted, and applied text of national education policy within the community partnership area in the period between 1990 and 2016 with the consideration of global and regional education policy effect. In addition, it highlights the applied partnership in the light of social, economic, and environmental dimensions of Education for Sustainable Development in public secondary schools in Lebanon. The study population includes all principals (275) of public secondary schools in Lebanon with received responses of (135) principals presenting 49.69% from all Lebanese governorates, and a sample constituting of five representatives of civil society associations based on the records of the Ministry of Education &Higher Education (MEHE). It is worth mentioning that the researcher has faced and overcome major challenges related to administrative, economic, and social issues that the educational public sector suffers from during the implementation of this study. Generally, the study depends on John Dewey’s theory (Dewey,1927;1879). To achieve the study objectives, the researcher uses the descriptive analytic method and the questionnaire and interview as study tools. The results reveal discrepancy between the written, adopted, and applied text of national education policy within the community partnership, and a convergence between the applied partnership and the social, economic, and environmental dimensions of Education for Sustainable Development in public secondary schools in Lebanon.
