This study aimed at investigating metacognitive strategies most frequently used in listening comprehension among non-native Arabic speakers in Jordan and whether there are statistically significant differences in their use due to their language level. To achieve the aims of the study, the Metacognitive Awareness Listening Comprehension Questionaire (MALQ) developed by (Vandergrift et al., 2006) was used. The subjects of the study were (93) non-native Arabic speakers from Yarmouk University language center during the academic year 2019-2020 who were selected by the available method. The results of the study revealed that the most frequently strategy used is the problem-solving strategy among the study subjects, while the least frequently used was the mental translation strategy. The results also revealed that no statistically significant differences in learners' strategies use due to their language level (intermediate, advanced). (Published abstract)
