This study aimed to identify the effect of thinking maps on understanding life applications in the life sciences of the ninth grade students in Jordan. The quasi-experimental approach was used, The study population consisted of all ninth grade students at Ain Jana Secondary School for Boys, and their number was (93) students, and to achieve the goal of the study, a test of (15) questions was developed to measure the understanding of life applications in the subject of life sciences in a sample deliberately selected from Ain Jana Secondary School for Boys in Ajloun Governorate in Jordan, which consisted of (60) students, and they were appointed randomly into two groups; An experimental group, consisting of (30) students, and a control group, consisting of (30) students. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant effect of teaching life sciences using thinking maps in understanding the life applications of the study members in favor of the experimental group.
