Sustainable development has remained a serious concern for many countries, international organizations and agencies, especially after the exacerbating of poverty, ignorance, epidemics, underdevelopments, corruption, and terrorism in several countries which lead to further accelerating of migration and exodus. Therefore, the governments of poor and developing countries have directly created plans to improving Human Development rates, and have defined policies to reduce illiteracy rates, and develop Education and sciences mechanisms, in order to build a knowledge society based on promoting a culture of innovation and ingenuity as a platform for developing and straightening the Economy and improving its growth rates to achieve further Economic and political stability. Knowledge has become a lasting wealth with daily impact and development, unlimited as Human brain is still able to create, innovate and improve, which made it an effective factor in building the economies of countries because of the values it adds to economic products that are subject to development. Hence, the production of this wealth depends on the ability to invent it, to renew it, to improve it, and to invest it. This resulted in the emergence of the terms such as innovative development, human capital and knowledge economy. Hence, this research aims to show the importance and necessity of investing in human capital and expanding its knowledge and its ability to innovate and create to reach the knowledge society. We will try to answer the following problematic: What are the most important factors that help developing people to reach the knowledge society and achieve advanced levels of sustainable development? We will also present experiences from several countries in the field of innovative development and investment in education and training, and how they were able to build a knowledge society and achieve sustainable development.
