This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of the Blackboard system in decreasing the mind wandering and academic procrastination among students of the Faculty of Education through answering the following main question: how can we build an electronic course using the blackboard system to reduce mind wandering and academic procrastination among students of the Faculty of Education? To answer this question, the researcher verified the psychometric properties of the study tools on a sample comprised (100) female students at the Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, while the basic study sample that was chosen to administrate the study tools comprised (100) participants who were divided into (50) students who were taught the Learning Theories Course at the Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University as an experimental group, and (50) students who were taught the Learning Theories Couse at El Minia University, Egypt as a control group. For data collection, the researchers utilized the mind wandering scale, the academic procrastination scale, and the electronic course. For data processing, the researchers utilized a t-test for independent samples. Results of the study indicated the following: 1) There were statistically significant differences at the level of 0.01 between the means of the scores of the control group and the experimental group in the post-application of mind wandering scale dimensions in favor of the control group. 2) There were statistically significant differences at level 0.01 between the means scores of the control group and the experimental group in the post-application of the academic procrastination scale dimensions in favor of the control group. The study concluded with some recommendations. (Published abstract)
