تحليل رسائل الماجستير المجازة من جامعة إب بالجمهورية اليمنية (2003 - 2019)م



This research aimed at analyzing the master theses approved by Ibb University in Yemen for the period (2003-2019) according to the following variables: (Faculty, department, specialization, gender, year of approval). The research followed the descriptive analytic approach using content analysis as the instrument of analyzing the data. The research reached the following results: 1) The total number of the theses approved by the faculties of Ibb University during the period (2003-2019) is nearly 600. Faculty of Education obtain the first rank in terms of the number of theses in a total number of 216 with a percent of 36.5%. Faculty of Science came first with a number of 11 theses and a percent of 1.8%. 2) In terms of gender, master theses in Ibb University were categorized favoring males with a number of 429 theses and a percent of 71.5% and a number of 171 theses for females with a percent of 28.5%. Regarding department, these were categorized into seven scientific departments. Administration and Education Fundamentals Department came first with a number of 168 theses and a percent of 33.0%. Holy Quran, its Sciences and Islamic Studies Department came second with a number of 155 theses and a percent of 25.8%. Then came Methodology and Instructions Department with a number of 118 these and a percent of 19.7%. Psychological and Educational Sciences Department came after with a number of 54 theses and a percent of 9.0%. In the fifth position, Arabi Studies Department obtained a number of 48 theses and a percent of 8.0% followed by History Department with a number of 16 theses and a percent of 2.7%. Chemistry Department came in the last position with a number of 11 theses and a percent of 1.8%. 3) In terms of specialization, master theses in Ibb University were categorized into 35 specializations. Administration and Education Fundamentals scored the first position with a number of 196 theses and a percent of 32.7% followed by Modern Literature specialization with a number of 110 theses and a percent of 18.3%. Then came Fundamentals of Fiqh (Shari'ah) with a number of 46 theses and a percent of 7.7%. The other theses which were a number 248 these with a percent of 41% were categorized for the other specialization whose number is 32 specializations with various percentages. 4) According to the year of declaration, these were categorized into 16 academic years during the period 200-2019. The year 2017 is the year of the most declared theses with a percent of 21.8%. In light of results, the research offered some recommendations and suggestions. (Published Abstract)
