The current study aimed at developing a proposal for applying knowledge management using the digital library to serve researchers in the fields of educational sciences through: Defining the conceptual framework for knowledge management as a field in educational research, Defining the role of digital libraries in employing knowledge management processes in educational research in light of some global experiences. The importance of the current study is shown in the following points: The importance of digital libraries at the theoretical and practical level as an effective dynamic tool for teaching and learning, culture and education and research. The current study depended on the descriptive approach because of its appropriateness to the nature of the study, the descriptive research is concerned with the conditions of existing relationships, common practices and beliefs, views and directions, analyzing data to reach and interpret the results, exploring societal and educational phenomena, as they are in the present, describing and diagnosing them. A questionnaire was designed to identify the benefits of postgraduate students. The researcher selected a randomized sample consisting of (211) faculty members and (612) of researchers (master / Ph.D.) from three Faculties of Education (Sohag - Mansoura - Ain Shams) in the educational departments (pedagogy, educational administration, educational psychology and mental health, curricula and teaching methods, educational technology).The study concluded that:-The creation of a selective data broadcasting service, providing a complete archive of news and contents, spreading a culture of digital awareness and encouraging researchers and authors to benefit from multimedia are the most important bases to support knowledge management processes in educational research in the Egyptian University from the viewpoint of faculty members, while The majority of the previous sample did not strongly support the provision of photocopying services, or the acquisition of electronic books and references and the creation of a space for digital resources, or the provision of various opportunities to meet the researchers’ ideas with specialists and experts in the fields of educational work as the reality of application of knowledge management processes in educational research at the Egyptian University.-The university’s digital library focus on developing knowledge assets and making optimal use of them, creating a selective data broadcasting service, enabling the researcher to search for the required information and retrieve it accurately and quickly and acquiring electronic books and references and creating a space for digital resources are the most important bases to support the application of knowledge management processes in the educational research in the Egyptian University from the viewpoint of postgraduate students, while the majority of the previous sample did not strongly support the existence of a close link between universities and other relevant research centers, or the provision of various opportunities to meet the researchers thoughts of specialists and experts in the fields of educational work, or the existence of mutual research between the university and the private sector, in the reality of applying knowledge management processes in educational research in the Egyptian University.
