The current study aimed to conduct a field study connected with identifying the extent to which the educational rights of the child are taken into consideration in basic education while teaching, from the viewpoint of school leaders. To achieve this goal, the researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, and the study community was composed of all (96) school leaders in the city of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia. A random sample which numbered (49) was chosen, from the leaders of basic education schools. The study adopted the questionnaire as a tool for gathering information, and its accuracy and reliability were confirme. After analyzing the data, using the Statistical Packages Program for Social Sciences SPSS, the study reached a number of results. The averages of the school leaders' response to the study tool reached a high degree as concerns the teacher’s awareness of children's rights in the field of freedom of expression. The averages of the school leaders response to the study tool reached a high degree as concerns the awareness on the part of the teachers of children's rights in highly effective education. The school leaders' response to the study tool reached a high degree, as concerns the teacher’s awareness of children's rights in the field of fairness and good treatment. In the light of these results, the study recommended that basic education teachers should strive to respect the rights of the child while teaching. There should also be an activation of the rights of the child, in the various educational institutions. (Published abstract)
