كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية spine 1 للصفين الخامس والسادس مرحلة الأساس : دراسة تقويمية من وجهة نظر المعلمين



This study aims to evaluate the English language book for fifth and sixth grades from the teachers’ point of view in terms of goal setting, classroom planning, classroom management, and evaluation competencies. Researcher followed descriptive method in this study. A sample of English language teachers was selected in the Jabal Awlia locality, (Kalakal Unit) which consisted of 45 teachers (male and female) by average (35%) of the study population. Questionnaire was used as a research tool, so after processing the data statistically, the most important results were as follows: The objectives of the English course of spine1 correspond to the general objectives of English language for the basic stage. The course fits the mental pupils’ level to a moderate degree, and the teaching methods used in teaching course are effective enough. And that the teaching aids used were effective enough to teach the course. There are some shortcomings in finding means, but teachers are forced to make a self-effort to take advantage of tools manufactured from the local environment. There is also a significant lack of teacher guidance in schools. the artistic output of Spine1 is reasonably suitable for its purposes. And that the methods used to evaluate the course are appropriate to achieve the objectives of the course. The study suggested some recommendations, as follows: defining the goals in the curriculum and writing them clearly so that teachers can perform their activities as required. Providing schools with modern educational means that assist in teaching English language such as tapes, educational films, scientific slides and pictures ... and others. Promoting and modifying the content of the English language book and to benefit from the views of teachers and mentors of the course by continuously considering their views. (Author’s abstract)
