The study aimed to reveal the relationship of internet addiction to some psychological variables (psychological loneliness and anxiety). The study sample consisted of (1500) female students of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, aged between (18 and 25 years), with an average age of 20.94 and a standard deviation of (2.043). The internet addiction scale and the anxiety scale (prepared by the two female researchers) and the Ucla loneliness scale by Russell were applied to them. The two researchers used, in the statistical processing, the t-test, the results of the one-way analysis of variance, the Tukey test, Pearson correlation, and the alpha-Cronbach stability factor to calculate instrument stability . The results showed that the degree of internet addiction among the female students was medium. The study also revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the averages of the degree of internet addiction among female students that are due to the variables (age, specialization). It was also found that the degree of psychological loneliness and anxiety among female students is medium. Finally, the results revealed a positive statistical relationship between the averages of internet addiction and anxiety & psychological loneliness among female students of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. In the light of such results, the two researchers presented a number of recommendations and proposals related to the subject of the study. (Published abstract)
