The aim of the study was to identify the impact of using learning by playing strategy on developing the critical thinking skills of sixth grade students in Jordan and on their achievement for learning in science. The study was followed by a semi-experimental method. The study sample consisted of (56) students from the basic schools affiliated with the directorate of education in Irbid in Jordan. Accordingly, two classes of the sixth grade people were chosen by simple random way among the school population. (28) represents the experimental group, and the 28 (C) division represents the control group. To achieve the objectives of the study, a test was prepared for critical thinking skills and another for academic achievement. The results of the study showed statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the two experimental groups, which were studied using the learning strategy by playing and the control group marks, which were studied in the usual way on the tests of critical thinking, educational achievement, of the experimental group.
