This study aimed at investigating the role of electronic information sources in the production of educational research from the views of the faculty members of the faculty of educational sciences at Al-Quds Open University in addition to exploring the degree of using these sources and the possible hindrances that hinder their use. Furthermore the study aimed at finding out the correlation between the study variables. The study sample consisted of (71) faculty members chosen randomly to represent (55%) of the whole population in the first semester of the academic year 2017 /2018. The descriptive analytical and correlational approach was used to collect the required data by means of an electronic questionnaire that was administered among the sample of the study after ensuring its validity and reliability. Results revealed that the total degree of the faculty members’ point of view of the role of electronic information sources in the production of educational research was high while the total degree of their use of these sources was “sometimes”. On the other hand, the total degree of hindrances of use was low. Results also revealed a moderate positive relation between the faculty members’ estimation of the role of electronic information sources in the production of educational research and their use, while there was a moderate negative reciprocal relation between their use of these e-sources and the possible hindrances. On the other hand, there was a strong positive relation between the use of these e-sources and the number of published research papers. In light of these results, a number of suggestions and recommendations were offered. (Published abstract)
