درجة امتلاك مهارات التفكير ما وراء المعرفي لدى طلبة علم النفس في المرحلة الجامعية في جامعة دمشق



The goal of the current research is to identify the degree of possession of metacognitive thinking Skills among students of psychology at the College of Education, and if there any differences between the average individual estimates of the research sample to the degree of possession of metacognitive thinking skills attributable to the variables: gender, year of study, and the cumulative average. The descriptive approach was used, and a scale of Meta-Cognitive Thinking Skills (planning, monitoring, evaluation) was employed. A sample of (138) students from the Faculty of Education in psychology specialization was chosen. Search results show that the degree of possession of metacognitive thinking skills were medium, and there were statistical differences in the level of skills by variable sex (female). There were also differences according to the years of study variable for the benefit of the diploma students, and there were differences depending on the cumulative average variable for the benefit of the higher rate. In the light of the results it has been proposed to recommend extensive studies in meta-cognitive thinking skills beyond the university students. (Published abstract)
